Artist Statement

“My art is intended to encourage people to show their own individual view of the world and to encounter other views with curiosity and to support each other.”

Artist Statement

Abstract art is the highest form of artistic freedom. This wide field of expression allows me to take the audience into a world where everyone is in harmony with themselves, approaching others with openness and curiosity, supporting them to find their inner energy and thus grounding with the world.

I take in inspiration from different directions, new techniques and conversations. This diversity is reflected in my artwork through energetic, but also harmonious colors flowing into each other. This very diversity in the artworks should be a motivation to affirm its multi-layered inner forces.

Through the hectic pace of everyday life and the overflowing flood of information, we easily lose our grounding and let others unsettle us. Therefore, it is important to pause time and again, to feel oneself in order to stand up for one’s values, boundaries and goals. This inevitably leads to a lightness and openness to other perspectives. We don’t have to prove anything to anyone, as we accept ourselves and stand up for it. “

Julijana is an artist from Dachau, born in Wuppertal in 1978. Her talent was already evident at a young age through her interest in painting and drawing. She was especially inspired by Gustaf Klimt’s ornamental paintings of women. Despite her interest in art, she decided to follow the classical professional path and studied business informatics. By training as a systemic coach, she found her way back to her inner strength and thus also to art. On the way to her style she was particularly inspired by Shirazeh Houshiary and her art works. Her creativity was especially inspired by the randomly flowing forms of pigments and water and the fine inscriptions on canvas. Julijana uses acrylic on canvas and selectively integrates pigments in her works.
